A day in Garden PRESCHOOL

Each day our preschoolers  have new opportunities to grow, explore, and express themselves in a space where they feel nurtured and inspired.

  • Age ranges from 2.5 to 5 years old

  • you may choose:

    • Three days

    • Four days

    • Five days

  • hours

    • 8:00am to 3:00pm

  • children spend over 50% of their time learning outdoors year round.

Relationship Building & Creative Expression

Start the day with social playful interactions inspired by nature offerings intentionally prepared in the labs and studios, children build relationships with peers and teachers.

Participate in morning assembly: share stories, sing songs, create poetry, and discuss project ideas.

Outdoor Exploration & Physical Activity

  • Into the garden create new sand sculptures, roll balls and cook new mud recipes.

  • Observe wildlife, listen to the birds, can you hear the owl?

  • Engage in walking the trails or running around the garden path. 

  • Move your body to music with singing, dancing, and inventing yoga poses. 

  • Play collaborative games, or set-up a new obstacle course.

  • Study seasonal changes and plant or animal life cycles.

  • Engage in caretaking of the garden. What would you like to grow?

Hands-on Learning where arts meet science

Build shelters, map our environment, and explore woodworking, sculpting, painting, and storytelling.

  • Find letters, phonics and connections with rhymes.

  • How do you draw this idea and write your name?  

  • Learn world folk traditions, what are baskets made of? Let’s weave!

  • On stage with puppets, let’s learn to resolve this conflict together!

  • Investigate mathematical concepts: How many ants are working on this hill? How tall and wide is this bush? Is this rock heavier than this pumpkin? How many plates do we need for snack?

Afternoon Rest & Projects

After lunch, children rest, napping or sitting quietly reading.

  • Following rest time, they dive back into projects, exploring their creativity at their own pace.
