Come join us for a festive evening of games, non-candy treats, and (moderately) spooky activities. Lots of fun is planned!

Feel free to stay after school or come early! The upper field at the farm will be open for picnicking and play leading up to the start of festivities.

WHAT TO KNOW

PUMPKIN CONTEST

Decorate or carve a pumpkin and bring it in ahead of time to be considered in the contest. Choose from one of the following categories: Funny, Animal, Plant, Book Character, Spooky, Farm, or Landscape. A Best Pumpkin from each category will be chosen and entered into a raffle for the Grand Prize: PAID TUITION FOR ONE WEEK AT SUMMER CAMP! Votes will be tallied and the winners announced by the end of the evening.

Drop off pumpkins at either the Charlotte or Pecan Valley locations on the morning of October 27 or 28. Please include a card in the pumpkin with your name and the category you are entering into. Also helpful is a battery operated candle or light to illuminate the pumpkin at night.

SCARECROWS

Families are also encouraged to make a scarecrow in the theme of your choice to help decorate the garden! Fun names are highly encouraged. These can be dropped off at either campus at any time through October 28.

TRICK-OR-TREATING, GAMES, and MORE

We are excited to have trick-or-treating planned at spots across the farm! There will also be lots of fun games and activities, as well as a herd of festive goats to enjoy. A special Halloween film created by the Sycamores class will be available to view throughout the evening as well! Bring a bag for your treats and a flashlight to aid navigation after dark.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The success of this event depends on the help of as many people as possible. Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! There are many needs including treats, supplies, time to decorate and prepare, and help monitoring games and handing out treats the night of. If you have not signed up for something, please check the Halloween Sign Up Sheet for ways to contribute. We also are in need of borrowed or donated decorations.
